1991 bronco transfer case

i recently purchased this bronco and i need to change the transfer case oil, but the fill and drain plugs wont come out, can they be heated. any suggestions.
also it shifts from 2h to 4h but won't shift into neutral or 4L.

shift to 4L while truck is stopped and transmission is in neutral. See if that works.

Try electric impact wrench on fill plugs, case is magnesium so forget the heat, too dangerous.

I had to drill out one of my plugs, I replace them now with brass plugs from Home Depot and use lots of teflon tape to prevent corrosion between the two dissimilar metals.
