Most on here don't turn rotors, they can be turned but then again you'll be replacing that rotor in a short amount of time anyhow. IMO it's not worth it as rotors are amazingly inexpensive for these trucks.
Not necessarily. As long as the machine shop does a final slow turn on the rotors they will not cut into the pads at all.
To the original question, yes, they can be turned... but only once and as long as they mic within spec (proper thickness). Rugby is right though, a rotor will set you back around $60.

I've always been a big fan of powerstop cross-drilled rotors.
IMO, A rotor that warped once will just warp again. It will happen sooner next time because it is thinner.
Agreed, unless they warped due to non-normal situations such as overheating or heating/cooling (like when driving through water after trailering). They can also be damaged and turnable if the rotors were damaged by improper pad servicing. Still, you are totally right, replacement is the best fix.
Rotors weren't warp, just the lining fell off metal backing in hunks and had lots of rust, linings aren't what they used to be.
Yeah, I have seen that happen. If you do turn, make sure that the shop specs the brake rotor to verify that it is thick enough to turn (and has not been turned once before) and that they do two cuts, one faster to level it and one slow cut to smooth the rotor. This will help save the pads.
Only time I would turn rotors is if they were close to new and you wanted to put on a new or better set of pads. If your current rotors have 45k on them I would replace them, even more so for front rotors. These trucks are hard on brakes, especially the fronts.
And make shure divide that by two. If a total of .045" can be taken off and still be within the minimum allowance that is .0225" per side that can be removed for cleanup.
