Header Question

I just removed my passenger header and found it in two pieces. I removed the drivers side and it is one unit. Is this something someone did to get the header into place, or is this the way it was design. I also notices that there was two gaskets on each header. Is this a sign of warped? I will update my subscription so as I may send a picture with this. Thank you

It's pretty common for aftermarket headers to warp... The doubled up gaskets where most likely put in by the privious owner because they where warped ... When you double up the gaskets it fills in the high spots... It's a cheap way of fixing a leak, I would replace the headers and do it right.. Make sure when you are tightening the header bolts, you tighten them little by little untill they are all snug then tourque them down in the normal tightening sequence to prevent warping
