EGR delete ?
1993, F-150, Flareside, extedend cab, 393 stroker (not fired yet), Edelbrock 3881 intake, E40D w/ jet performance trans adapter, powder coated BW-1356, 4.10 e-lockers fore and rear, 2" leveling springs fore, add-a-leaf rear (2"), 32x11.50x15 BFG a/ts at the corners.
Truck is mainly to pull the boat to the lake, take camping and hiking into the mountains. Not a daily driver.
I have found disagreeing arguements about deleting the egr system- mpgs, power, looks and so on. My reasoning is looks. Lots of money and LOTS AND LOTS of time went into this new motor, and I want to show off my work. That and I live in AZ where it gets to 120 in the shade... Imagine what under the hood temps reach! Expensive plastic lines have been replaced on a bi-yearly basis, by necessity.
I would like to know the best way to go about deleting everything! TAD, TAB, and Canister solenoids. As well as the EGR tube, sensor and valve. I would also like everyon's opinion about it, good bad indifferent or other. I have done quite a bit of research, and found that everyone refers to RJM injection. They don't make a 5.8 setup, but I as$-u-me that the 5.0 kit will work. How and where would the resistors get connected into harness?
Thanks in advance-
Flareside
