Yes & no, some of the early ones will fit, Ford closed the opening for the fuel pump along the way, so yes you can up to a point.
Have you considered converting the truck to FI, they seem to have more power and manage fuel much better. Bring everything with the engine and hook it up, there have been some successful upgrades along the way.

Also, later model 302's have reverse rotation water pumps and a different balancer (50oz instead of 28.2oz) so you'd also have to change the flywheel or flexplate and probably the torque converter. And you'd have to change your accessories and brackets around and make custom PS hoses and use custom radiator hoses. I'm not sure about ALL that, but it's evidently quite a hassle. And then you've got sensor wires sticking out all over the place. Probably worth it to pull the complete engine, accessories, flywheel, brackets and all. Then you have less to change over from the old motor.
