Talking Grill question

Does anyone know if a earlier model grill like a 67 or 68 will fit on a 71. I sorta like the earlier models grills better and need a new grill due to a wreck

yes but you need all the hardware that comes with it including the valance between the bumper and the grill. im using a 68 grill on my 72. i also like the look of the older ones.

yeah, my cousin in law runs a 69 ranger grille on his 70 ( the truck is a mutt, probably some 69 body parts on it too, its had 2 or 3 diffrent cabs since he's owned it).

The 70 valance has the turn signals mounted to it, while the 69 has the turn signals on the grill surround.

thanks...is the valance shaped different or is it just so you don't have the mounting holes showing from where the turn signals where...

Send me your old stuff my grille is in sad shape. Has anyone ever tried splicing 2 good halves together? I can't weld aluminum but can it be done by a pro? Gotta be cheaper than paying $600 for a new one not counting the plastic.

I've got a 69 grill on 67, but I like the 67 grill better. Check out my gallery. I found the 69 grill as a NOS. If I was going to get a new one from DC I'd go with the 70 inserts, they look the best for that style.

I have two 68 grills.....aluminum and steel......I'm going to put the aluminum grill on my 71 today and take the steel one to powder coat chrome.....I'm going to the powder coat place and look at some chrome samples first...

I think the 67/69 grills are the nicest, thinking of putting a 69 grill in my 71 F350.
