hi guys 2001 f350 4x4 crewcab
my truck with 155000 miles just recently started this issue
when truck is hot - warm and i put it in reverse it will not go forward again untill it cools down then it runs fine no slipping
just had fluid and filter changed but was happening before that
any help would be greatly appreaciated
What type of fluid did you use? Are you getting tranny shudder at all? Does the problem persist if you shift into Park first, wait for gear to engage, then re-position back in Drive?
hello my 2001 f350 is doing the same thing would not move yesterday after driving it was fine today for a drive of 25 miles with no problems shifts were strong and on time got to work shut off truck waited a few min started up and no drive just rev what was your out come
My 2001 F350 does this also but only after I pull my 5th wheel camper. I took it to a tranny shop and they checked it it out and flushed the fluids. They said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. It drives perfectly with out a load but when I pull the camper and back it in some place it feels like it goes into gear but when I give it some gas it drops out. It goes into reverse fine. After a little while of putting into reverse and drive it will take off and drives fine again. I thought maybe it was over heating because of the camper. My truck has the 7.3 diesel and it's very frustrating when I get to a camp site. Has any body heard of this? The guy at the tranny shop said he never heard of one acting like this. I also tried one of those ask a ford guy and he didn't know either. This forum looks like someone could give me a good answer. Thanks in advance I am stumped and don't know what to do next. THANKS GUYS
