transmission question.

the tranny in my truck is at 100,000 and I am sorta concerned it is gonna go out within the next 25,000. when it shifts down from third to second it grabs realy hard not to mention it seems sometimes it does some awkward shifting. 100,000 isn't to bad i feel. I am starting to research new trannys or even rebuilds, and I was wondering if anybody had advice on a aftermarket performance tranny's that i could buy that is a 5 speed auto instead of the 4, ore even just a higher performance/more durable tranny.

Have you ever changed the fluid in this tranny? Your symptoms are similar to dirty fluid.

I would be leery about letting them do the cleaning cycle at this stage. I would just opt for a full fluid exchange.
