Truck shipping

I am in the military and I am stationed at Little Rock AFB in Arkansas. At the time I joined my truck, located in Idaho, had a blown motor but now runs very well. I am really trying to get it down here as it does me no good up in Idaho. I only get to drive it once a year or so. Anyone know of the best options or someone who does this cheap?

If it's really running well, take a few days leave and drive it down. It'll be the cheapest way to get it there.

I figure that will be about $500. It has a 5.8L with a 5 speed and is a 1988. I would venture to guess that I get 14 or 15 on the freeway but the speedo doesnt work so I cant calculate gas mileage.

I used Ray's Car Shipping to haul my Galaxie from Missouri to Texas last winter. I highly recommend them; they did a wonderful job: Nationwide auto transport, Vehicle delivery, auto towing, driveaway service, dieselgal, dieselgal.com

Based on the research I did at the time, it's highly unlikely you'll find a commercial shipping company that costs less than the $500 you figured for gas. It still stands that it'd be cheaper to drive it yourself.

The only issue is I need a new fuel tank seperator valve, and the mazda r2 tranny is starting to whine. I wish I had a ZF lol.

Drop it off at my place, I have an M5R2 in a bucket with a good case that I can rebuild and install.
