Pull off the ERG valve and see if the ports underneath it are clogged with carbon build-up.

The clip is broken. I secured it with a small zip tie. O will Check the egress in a bit

the EGR was kinda clean, so i cleand it and the port behind it out. broke a bolt in the process, fun fun. but, i did notice a broken hose on this... what is it?

That is your DPFE sensor. Those hoses go to exhaust tubing for the egr valve. This would certainly account for the egr codes.

Differential Presure Feedback EGR. This monitors the flow of the EGR system.

i just went to autozone to get codes pulled again. i am down to one...1401, the dpfr circuit high voltage. what now?

It is indicating that the voltage range for that sensor is being exceeded. It could be a short to ground or an open cuircut condition within the sensor itself.

If it is the sensor itself there is no repair. If you cannot find any shorts and do not have access to factory diagnostic manuals and a NGS scanner changing it may be your best bet. If you do have those things, there are a number of tests that can be run to pinpoint the trouble. The most reliable of the replacements has been a Ford replacement part.

i have the ford part number, but i was looking and couldnt even find one aftermarket. does it go by a different name?

due to lack of time, i havent had time to get back on this. question... below is a pic of my EGR pressure sensor and the aftermarket one from rock auto. how do i know where to connect the hoses to? the aftermarket is marked, i dont see anything on the original.
