I noticed today when I parked the truck. I get a little puddle of diesel under my truck right under the rear of the engine. I can't find where it is leaking from. Anyone have any knowledge of this or has experienced it yourself? Thanks!
Probably gonna have to clean the valley some and look. Could be the weep hole on the pump seeping, maybe a line leaking. Surely its running back and down the rear of the motor.
A buddy I know that works at a local diesel shop where I live told me the little yellow valve under the cover was probably leaking, but can't remember what is was called (he works on Dodges at the shop, not the 7.3s). Does anyone know what it is called so if I do need to replace it I can tell the part store so I don't make them look like idiots when the computer can't give them the answer?
Yeah I have drove the truck 3 times today and it's done it every time, I can even see a little trail following me when I park the truck in the parking lot, so it's leaking all the time.
The only yellow valve I can think of is the drain valve. That would drain your fuel bowl and your truck wouldn't run. Plus that drains out near the front.
The only way to find it is to clean out the valley of the engine. Get in there some paper towels with a long screwdriver to help poke them in to the hard to get areas. Get it as clean as you can. Start it up and and with a bright light look for the leaks. Here is a great write up on what to look for and possible parts you might need. The fuel pump itself has a weep hole, like a water pump so if it's leaking under the pump then it needs to be replaced.
The most common fuel leak on the 7.3 is the water in fuel drain valve on the fuel bowl but normally it is a black valve, not yellow. The yellow valve is on the 99-03 7.3.
There are numerous other places on the 94-97 engines that can also begin to seep fuel. Pressure regulator on the fuel bowl, high temp hoses in the valley can crack, the control sensor on the fuel bowl, the banjo bolt gaskets, the fuel pump diaphragm can break down and seep from the vent hole. Any of these leaks will collect in the valley, drain to the rear and through the drain hole into the transmission bell housing.
As Hussler stated, you need to clean everything up and pinpoint what needs to be repaired/replaced so you don't simply begin to replace parts that are fine.
We have you covered on all the Viton o-rings, compression sleeves and hoses that you would need to do the job.
A worse-case scenario would be that due to electrolysis / corrosion, small pinholes can develop in the bottom of the fuel bowl itself.

The fuel filter was changed right before I bought the truck about a month ago. I am going to clean it all up tomorrow and take a look and see what I find. I will keep you all posted, thanks for all the help and advice.
If you find no fuel in the valley another place that is prone to leaking is the hard fuel lines at the back of the head the fitting has a rubber type seal inside can,t recall the name but the one on the passenger side is most common because of the heat from the down pipe.
Just yesterday I pulled the fuel bowl to fix a fuel leak, it was a pinched oring in the FPR assembly. I got all the orings in one simple kit from Diesel Orings (I believe thay also have a complete hose kit - but I had already replaced those 2 weeks earlier). Pick a nice cool evening, I spent just over two hours taking my time and cleaning every little thing I pulled apart. And with the bowl out, you can very easily clean the engine valley.
I need to find a replacement sensor for the one on the FPR - what is it actually called? I imagine it's a fuel pressure sender or some such, but no one has a part that looks like what's installed. It apparently works, but it's leaking fuel into the wiring, and that entire wiring harness is starting to turn into goo - all the insulation is getting really soft and squishy. Anybody have any leads on replacement wiring?
If it's the top sensor then it is called the "Fuel Filter Restriction Sensor" or "Fuel Filter Vacuum Sensor".
It causes the fuel filter light on the dash to come if the filter gets really clogged up and a vacuum is created in there.
