My 1993 f250 351 is idling very high so i just unplugged the idle motor and it is perfect now, is it bad for the truck if i do that? should i replace the idle motor?
uhm... are u talking about the IAC *idle air control valve*
if so clean it and check ur egr it may be sticking open
agreed. Usually unplugging the IAC is done to test whether or not it is bad. If you unplug it and there's no change in the idle, it's bad- if you unplug it and the engine starts bucking and sputtering it's fine. You can also test it by checking the resistance between the terminals.
I did the same thing on mine, it's fine. It means you have a problem elsewhere that's making the IAC run a higher duty cycle after the engine has warmed up or a vacuum leak.
It don't hurt anything if you unplug it. Set your TB open enough for it to idle right. And then check/re-adjust (if needed) your TPS to make sure it's between .6-1 Vdc. It'll just warm up slower and you might have to give it a lil throttle for initial start up. Your more or less just losing the air side of an electric choke.
However, the Real problem could be causing your engine to run rich or lean or....... So I suggest you still try to solve that; TPS, IAT, ECT, vacuum leak, etc...

Sounds like the "idle motor" is working right ans OK.
You either have a vacuum leak or someone did a no no and adjusted the screw on the throttle body.
