Thought I'd give an intro before asking a ton of questions. Just picked up a 65 F100 LB, 3spd 352, first Ford ever. Was a GM man until Sunday. Looks like a great site with tons of info and resources. Glad to be aboard.
Welcome to the light. Fellow newbie here. The guys on this site are amazing - true ford truck "enthusiasts". Perhaps I am mistaken, but I have yet to see this group stumped. Just ask and you shall receive.
Pete,,,lots of new guys try to stump the number dummy.....i will tell you now you can not do it..He is the grumpy guy behind the parts counter that we can not do without..Try your luck if you dare....

That is some funny stuff. Although it's a virtual parts counter these days.
I wonder if anyone here on FTE remembers you from then?
Better than that, there's a member (Brian C) that worked with me at the parts counter.
A Ford parts manager in Costa Mesa CA (another guy I used to work with) knew I was plying my trade on FTE and told him to come here to say hello.
He first said hello to Bill W, but...Bill W is the wrong Bill W(ilson).
There are two additional members who were rookies (parts drivers) when I worked the back parts counter at Crenshaw Motors Ford (1975/85).
Since Crenshaw was the 3rd largest parts stocking dealer in the world, I mighta seen one or both when they came to Crenshaw to pick up parts.
One is now a parts manager in Seattle and an FTE Ford Dealer Parts Dept sponsor: PARTSGUYED.COM.
The other is Instigator who posts in this forum. He's no longer in the autobiz.
FTE members camperspecial65, garbz2, Bill W, gangstakr, Aussie 53 and a whole slew of SoCal Chapter members have met me and seen me in action at the 2008 & 2009 F100 Western Nats Truck Show, where...
I pointed out stuff on trucks that was rare, or parts ppl had added to their trucks that Ford never installed. The club that puts on this show have asked me to judge, but I told them...
How the heck can one judge trucks that have been modified to death? I prefer things 'as original' not something that's a Frankenstein monster. And once y'all start changin' things, that's exactly what you end up with.
