Bench test a tach?

Anyone have any thoughts or documents that would shed some light on how to go about bench testing my tach?

Seems I should pay attention to my own threads, the answer was put in there a few days ago already. Sorry it's over at OB, a link for those interested (contains E40D Schematic as well).
