I just installed a tach for my 95 F-150 and was wondering If anyone know's what the red line is or when the power control module cuts off the engines power at high engine RPM's?
Originally posted by Ford_SIX I wouldn't take it over 5k as a stock motor, especially if it has a lot of miles on it. I don't believe the ignition cuts before 5500, though.
Only 60,000 miles on it. Truck does remind me of a tractor the way the tach acts. Definately a tourqer and at 2000 RPM's it seems like 3 or 4,000 RPM's in other vehicles. I've heard great posts on the reliablity of this engine.
