Most likely it's an injector. That code means that cylinder #5 isn't keeping up with the output of the other 7 cylinders. It could also mean other things but they are much more major. I just did that one today myself. Passenger side, 3rd one back and fun to do.

Do you monitor the fuel pressure?

Think what bismc is saying is you need to be constantly monitoring it, not just occasional checks.

I am a tad uncomfortable --- a weak cylinder can be caused by many things, including bad valves, rings, piston, head gasket, etc.

When you do that many "fixes" to it, sometimes, you tread on the "ain't broke... " rule.

There is something about a factory assembled engine that few field repair shops can duplicate: cleanness, consistency, qc, testing, etc.

The very best custom blueprinting shops that work with top grade new (or seasoned) parts that are carefully checked / tested for flaws, can do better than a factory.

But that is not where most engine work ends up.

finally got an update from my dealer they are telling me i have a severe case of stiction i can understand that but how could i get it that bad on an injector that only has 40000km on it and because it is not an injector problem they will not warranty there work they told me injectors only have a 20000km warranty on them and the only way to fix it is to replace it I dont get it i have been running syntetic oil and changing it every 7500km since i put these injectors in what else can you do to stop this from happening again

Try adding one ounce of ashless two stroke oil per one gallon of fuel. Some on this site do that for the extra lubrication. Since you are apparently out or warranty it can't hurt and may very well help you.

You could give this stuff a try: REV-X Oil Additive | Diesel Fuel Additive | High Performance Oil
