I went to a Ford dealer on Rt 113 and they re flashed my truck for me. My rv is in Va and I drove back to the Ford Dealer they did it for me Saturday. I called my Dealer today and asked him what my gauge should max out at and he would not give me a answer. I am worried that my turbo may be sticking or something else is going wrong. After I put the pipe back on everything worked but I noticed pulling a steep hill the gauge was around 40. I have never pulled a 5th wheel this size or weight. And I never go North I just do not care for it. DE, MD and VA. is for me. Good food, good friends and just fun camping. When my truck is good to me.
Sam, I pull a a 5 ton trailer with a 3 ton tractor on the trailer. I always use the tow/haul mode. I can't recall if I ever hit 40psi but do know it was over 30psi, especially getting up to highway speed.
You need to bring your truck to the MidAtlantic Meet. We are having Eric Eldreth of Innovative Diesel Performance joining us to offer some tech advice for our trucks. Eric is probably the foremost expert on the 6.0 diesel.
This week my truck had hesitation very bad and it was dead so I called Ford dealers in my area to see who had a person that worked on diesels full time. I found one and they repaired my truck. I got a metal tube not the plastic one. The trans flushed and the injectors flushed. It was just under $1000 for all of the work but it was worth it. Now I can make it over the St. George Bridge in overdrive!
