Hi all,
Hope everyone is done good.
I need to get some advice from people hat know more than I.
On my last trip to Tx and Wi. I had two problems that I have not encountered in 130k. I I was pulling my 5th wheel about 9 k running 65mph everything was great. Then out of nowhere bang. Blew the turbo hose off at the turbo. I reconnected the hose and it blew of again
I limped in to a Ford dealer and they replaced the hose and clamp with the new style, it appeared that my hose was the original one. Well off we go again and it blew the hose again, this went on for awhile. I stopped at a Ford dealer again and the tech said the hose was installed improperly, another new hose and clamp. This time it stayed on, but I took it eay pulling grades which is the only time it blew off.
On getting back home I took it to my tech here and he said I needed a new turbo. I told him my turbo was removed an rebuilt by Ford in Wis. About 10k ago and I have nothand any problems since. My boost never goes above 25/26 psi.
Going again and need input on the turbo please.

6.0L, correct? Why does he think it needs to be rebuilt? If he seeing something on his scope in regards to VGT%? Stored code for overboost? I think it would take a lot to require a replacement and not a rebuild, because all the internals and the VGT can be replaced individually.
If you want to solve the boot problem permenantly, look at these:
CAC Intercooler "Hot Side" Boot Kit 03-07 - Riffraff Diesel Performance
Much better part than OEM replacements.
