no spark
no spark
I have a newly rebuilt 2.9 in my 88 bronco 2 and i cant get any spark.
screwdriver stuck in a plug wire gives a reddish colored spark against a ground but when i try with a plug i get no spark.
i bench tested the coil and it falls in spec can the coil be bad and bench test good?
HELP

My first assumption would be the timing is off and the dist. is probably on the exhaust stroke and not the compression, 180 degrees off.

KOEO/CM 22 points to a MAP circuit problem. Doesn't seem like it should be related to a no spark, unless the ICM and MAP wires go through the same harness.
I don't remember the specific steps for testing the ICM, it seems like someone posted them here at one point. Some parts stores will test ICM's in the hopes of selling you a new one.
