Help me: Ford 351m/400 engine torque specifications
Hi everybody, i'm new in this forum and i'm a ford trucks fan 'cause i have one...
My truck recently had an engine failure and i'm trying to fix it but, when i tried to get the maintenance guide for my engine, i only found the 351 guide, but i have a 400 engine...
I can't find the 400 guide because it was never built in my country, so i want to know if someone of you have the guide with torque specifications for all screw and tolerance measures for each piece...
please i need this guide soon, because I started to unmount the machine and there is no way back ...
i hope you can help me, i'll be eternally grateful for this huge favor

try to find this book :
"How To Rebuild Ford V8 Engines" by Tom Monroe, it will contain everything you need for your 400.
You can even try it with Google/books to have a preview, maybe you can see the specifications you need without buying the book ...
... but this book is worth the price and a must to have when you`re rebuilding your engine !

Since the 351M and 400 are identical except for crankshaft and pistons, the specs should be the same.
Things like cylinder head torque, main and rod caps, piston clearance, bearing clearance, correct? All the same.
