If you catch the fuel line early enough, you can protect it with a short piece of 5/16" fuel line and keep it from rubbing through.
Here is what my fuel line looked like a couple of years ago:
The bracket is located at the front of the turbo pedestal mount, bolted to the cylinder head:
The compression sleeves at the ends of the hard line are not reusable as they will be cracked and come out in pieces when you remove the fuel line but we have you covered on those too.

I wish I would have known before hand that these lines rubbed on the clamp so I could have fixed it before it totaly wore through but I guess thats how it goes. But Im definatly going to put a piece of hose over to prevent it from happening again
Replaced that line last night took abit but it wasnt bad it took about two hours with out removing any thing but the glowplug solenoid and brackets it had wore through the line and the clamp
