any automotive store will sell you the cheap plastic ones. They serve their purpose, and they will set you back about 4-5 bucks each.

I'm sure snap on or mac makes a nice metal set, but i'm sure those cost quite a bit more.

I've had a set of plastic ones that I've used on all my ford cars for the past 4 years and they are fine.

Yeah I bought the metal ones, and they have been a lifesaver working on Fords.

I think my set (a metal X) KD 3321 were bought at NAPA for about $15.00. I have rescued some failed plastic jobs with these.

I just bought a set of plastic Lisle tools with a plastic holder for $10 that will last me for many years.

I have "borrowed" a set just like them from a buddy for years when I needed them. They have held up well under his use and mine and he uses them 10x times more often than I do.

Metal would have been nice but NAPA is a 6 mile trip and these were 4 blocks away

I saw another cheapo plastic set for $7 but they looked flimsy or prone to breakage, the plastic looked bad, and they did not come with a holder.

They also had some individual metal ones for $3 each that would work well. If I break one of the plastic ones from over use I will replace that individual piece with a metal one and put it on the holder. None of the plastic ones have broken so far tho.

I bought a cheap metal one that would not work until I took a file to it and squared it up.

pancake, make sure the pressure is gone then push the line and the filter together, then push the tool into the line.

You grab the fuel line in your teeth...

Actually I hold the female half of the coupling in one hand with two fingers and thumb, then push the tool in with the other two fingers on that hand. I use the other hand to push the male fuel line and use a finger or thumb to add some more push to the tool if required. This works great, -but then I am double jointed...

I used to use those fuel line tools everyday. the only disadvantage to the plastic ones is that they do break and second that there is no where to get leverage. sometimes the springs are really stiff and you have to push pretty hard. the plastic ones dont have enough surface space to really do that.
