OK so i wasn't really looking to buy another project, especially a truck, but this seems like a hell of a deal. I found a 1977 f-250 2wd long bed crew cab in what seems to be good shape with a 460/c6 for $900 bucks. If i were to get it i would like to do a cummins and 4wd conversion, would these be bad or good things to do to it since the crew cabs seem to be really rare. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot.
Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I -thought- that in the 60's and 70's, all crew cabs with 8 foot beds were F350s, while all F250 crews had 6 foot beds. Someone maybe swapped something on it? (Or once again, I could be wrong)
Anyway, I'd buy it! Depending on where you are, some of the guys on here say that where they're at, crews are a dime a dozen, but at least in my area, there literally may be none around anymore.
I was thinking the same thing all 250 crews were short maybe someone swapped the frames out or something only way to tell would be decode the VIN #. But it sounds like a good deal I would get it.

Ummmmm ... YUP... I would buy it! Crew Cabs are super hard to find in my area. I have personally only seen two. One is my buddies that he made into a 4x4. And the other drove by me with RI plates.
If I would find one in good enough shape to restore I wouldnt think twice.
