'72 Block Deck Hieght?

The deck height of the 351W is 9.480" for 1969-70,
9.503" for 1971-up.
D2AE indicates 1972, so yours should be 9.503".
This information is from the Ford Racing catalog which gives engine dimensions for most engines from the early 1960s up.

Thanks , there definately is some conflicting information out there but that seems to be the most common and undisputed information. Others vary the years abit.
As best as I can measure, this '72 block appears to be the same as my '84 block with in .001"-.002"

I'm glad to help. There certainly is a lot of conflicting (mis)information out here in the internet. That's why it's best to find a factory published reference to get specifications. Even then there can be errors, but there tends to be fewer.
