OK, so out of curiosity and no ill intentions meant, what made you become attracted to your Chevy in the first place?

BTW, welcome back and congrats.

Chevy?

Hey

I had a Z-71 Silverado and it was an ok Truck........I got real good at changing Intake Gaskets on the 5.7......other than that it was ok.....The styling became very dated ...especially the Interior....
my 09 Lariat is the best Truck Ive ever owned!

huh... I put 150,000km on my 2001 z71 before it got stolen. Replaced some sensor for around $100 once and nothing but reg maint. Loved that truck, never let me down.

Having said that I like my new SCREW a lot more...but it's not a fair comparison being 9 yrs newer.

It's simple I have alot of family that works for GM and Dodge. So it makes buying a truck pretty much hassle free and cheap... Basically I came back from a deployment and noticed the Dually in my sig was getting a little long in the tooth its coming up on 200,000 miles things were starting to need work... I looked around for months for a nice used truck but couldn't find anything I liked.. So I started shopping for new... and with the GM employee discount with all the rebates at the time it was pretty close to $11.5k off msrp. Being I was 20 (21 Now) I decided it was in my best interest to get the Cheapest truck possible that still met my needs without racking up a massive amount of debt after all this was the first thing I've ever financed and I did everything by myself. I couldnt even find a FORD even close to I wanted and they weren't really willing to deal at all. and to top it off the headrest in the 09's are really uncomfortable I didn't like it at all.. But I will say after owning this 2010 for about 5 days now.. Im very glad I went back with Ford best descion I could have made.
