I like the two tone look, especially the red/tan, but if I had a choice, and $$$, I'd get the same result with paint, not add on cladding. Just my opinion.
Is there a market for used cladding? Mine is in pretty good shape, some small scratches from some random bushes in the woods, but definitely reusable? How do folks unload these things? Ebay, classifieds here on FTE, or ??? Going price? Anyone want mine?
On my blue EX ,the grey cladding streamlines the side a bit. Without it there's too much flat surface in one color. I have the chrome step bars on mine.My 2 cents worth
The front bumper replacement is a Ranch Hand off a 08-09 SuperDuty. I had the brackets cut off and re=aligned to fit the Ex.
My tires are 305/70r-16. I get 11.5 city and 13.5 hwy. I like the larger stance.
I like that bumper! Seeing that in the rear view definately says "Get out of my way!" Customer mounts...I wonder if they make a similar one that doesn't need the custom work....hmmmm...
It's too soon for me to tell on the MPG with the bigger shoes...I need to track it with the GPS to be sure since the speedo and the odo are now all messed up with the bigger tires...
If you have the 2 tone running boards or color integrated into your bumper then I guess you are stuck but if you can shed it then for sure - No Clad, not on a truck. Cladding reminds me of those stick on nonfunctional hood scoops and gold mfg and trim pkg emblems - TACKY.
I'm new here (lurking for a while though ) so take it easy on me guys.
I like the clading on my 04 Limited in monotone black. Others I've seen in two tone not so much. It breaks up the body and adds more lines to the massive expanse of sheet metal on the truck. Truth is I never saw an Ex that I didn't like.
