Your truck does not have a COLOR code because it was special ordered by the original purchaser who specified the truck to be painted a non standard color.
When vehicles are painted a non standard color, there is no color code...and this includes passenger cars.
If the original purchaser wanted his truck to match a Ford passenger car color of like vintage, there would be a COLOR code...but it would be specific to passenger cars.
There is no way ANYONE here on FTE (or on any other Ford related website) can tell you what color your truck is...since there is no Ford reference for it.
Since you've asked his question before, you already know that I suggested you contact martiauto.com, because Marti is the only source that has original build sheet info that covers these trucks.
In the late 1980's, Ford was gonna THROW AWAY all the info that covered 1967/79 vehicles. Marti found out about Fords plan and got ALL of it.
Hey bill thats harsh to laugh at me but I went to fordification with the tag off the left hand door it has three rows of info on it with letters and all kinds of stuff and at fordification they had a break down of all three rows and the spot for color code for mine showed up as harbor blue but i mean im a newb so i just read as much as i can but thats what i read

I apologize, and removed the smilie.), but I went to fordification with the tag off the left hand door it has three rows of info on it with letters and all kinds of stuff and at fordification they had a break down of all three rows and the spot for color code for mine showed up as harbor blue but i mean im a newb so i just read as much as i can but thats what i read
I've decoded well over 700 VIN's & Warranty Plate codes for FTE members using the apropos Ford parts catalog, so I don't need to go elsewhere to get the info.
Notice in the posted link that the Warranty Plate of the OP's truck is blank below the COLOR code.
Notice that the DSO code is 6 digits long. When the DSO is 6 digits, the vehicle is a special order. This explains why there is no COLOR code, as it was painted a non standard color, per the customers request.
Since there is no COLOR code, there is no way to know what color the truck was originally painted.
DSO: 724756
72 = San Jose (NorCal) Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
4756 = Domestic Special Order number. The truck was special ordered by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."
If the truck needed to be repainted, with a 6 digit DSO, the dealer contacts FoMoCo, gives the DSO code. Ford looks up the 4 digit special order invoice number and tells the dealer what the formula for the color is.

The problem is...there is no COLOR code, so what Ford color was this truck originally painted?
None...because if it was a Ford color, there would be a COLOR code.
You can go to Fordification, you can look in the Paint Charts in the 1964/72 Ford truck parts catalog, you can go to every automotive paint supply store on the planet...but you won't find anything...because there is no COLOR code.
Without a COLOR code, there is no way = none ... to get the formula using paint chip charts.
Alvald- the only way you are going to be able to get the original color of the paint is to get a Marti report on it, or possibly a Ford 999 history report.
can't you look at the back of the cab between the bed and see a color to match to?
how about you pull up a sill plate or lift a w/strip? a DSO paint means that it was probably chrome yellow or olive drab special paint for a fleet buyer. If you look closely, you may even see that it was once painted black with white doors.
