Trying to identify my truck's V8 (original) engine using known VIN decoding resources (FORDification etc), I found no reference to what the VIN actually says. The VIN is F108EXxxxxx (last 5 digits are numbers)
Could it be export-specific? Additional sticker on the driver's side pillar says "This vehicle manufactured for export on date shown above", date itself (May 1975) and vehicle info, same as on the VIN plate. Can't find information about "8" engine code anywhere and production number ("censored" part) isn't matching with model year of standard VIN (too small for year 1975).
100% positive. The same VIN is on the clearly readable export sticker, let alone papers. Moreover, reference says that "B" code stands for L6 engine and my truck has ORIGINAL V8.
The DSO (94) seems to be OK.
