Bed removal question

How the heck can I get the wrecker bed off my 250? It's got to weigh the earth! Anyone want to come do it for me?

If the winch works, hook it to a tree and winch it off.

The winch is probably a substantial part of whats bolted to the frame, and also likely hooked up via pto or hydraulic lines to the rest of the truck.

It may be ironic, but you might just wanna call a tow truck and have them assist.

That would be kinda cool. Maybe it would be easier to just found another 77 F-250 in good shape and keep the wrecker intact. We're prolly miles apart....but I know where there's a 76-77ish F-150 stepside for sale, but I dont know how much the guy wants for it or any of the particulars.

What are your plans for the wrecker bed? I think it would look sweet on my truck once I get it lifted..lol.

I'm sort of torn, on one hand I'd like to keep it and just have it as a tow truck, I mean why not right? On the other hand I'd like to have a regular bed for hauling but I do have my Ranger for that.
Main reason I want it off is so it'll fit in my garage! The A-frame has been "mis-welded" and can't lower any more.
Want to do a frame up job if I can. Cab has to be replaced, way to much rot, at least too much to pass inspection here in Mass.

BTW, yes the winch is PTO, looks kinda funky under there with 4 drive shafts!
