Only for the "on" button, correct? Pressing on sends a 12V signal (no current, otherwise the horn would blow) to the amplifier, or am I reading the diagram incorrectly?

Yes, you are right as that is the way I read it too.

ymeski56 you have a good point, but i hit a deer with my Audi while in cruise control and didn't have time to worry about hitting the horn or anything else for that matter, but again thanks guys for all the infomation.

That's why the brake disengages C/C too. Those deers are goners, as soon as they lock onto the headlights. Venison tonight? What time should I be over? Red wine w/ that right?
