Not sure if this is a clutch problem or an adjustment needing done. It doesn't slip but its real notchy getting into gear. Third can be a real pain even with declutching and sometimes I have to go back to second to pick up speed again. I have to have the pedal right on the floor before I can get into gear which I know may be a sign of a badly worn clutch. Ive never done a clutch before but I don't want to go paying for a new one if I don't really need it yet. Is there an adjustment that can be done on the pedal to give me a higher pedal?
If it's a hydraulic clutch, you might bleed the master & slave cylinders and see if it helps. I
know of no way of adjusting the hydraulic setups, only mechanical ones.
As I recently found out there is an adjustment on some at the master cylinder push rod... However it doesn't affect anything but free play between master and pedal not between throw out and pressure plate.
If this is to loose, you loose master cylinder stroke, do not tighten it removing all free play, there must be a tiny bit of free play between the push rod and master cylinder allowing the master cylinder piston to hit home.
