Power band

as i am accelerating and or pulling the truck tends to just level out at 3500 rpm's is this normal or?? previous owner installed straight pipes i am looking to install the cherry bomb set up i am hearing a lot about or possiabley a flow master exhaust system. just wondering thanks alot

No, that doesn't seem normal. A V-10 should rev well past 3500 RPM.

check to make sure your gas pedal goes all the way to the floorboard..

your floormat/carpeting might be restricting full movement.. seems like a silly thing to be the cause but it happens...

ya itll will rev up past 3500 checked carpet and floor mat no problem there but when going down the road it just levels out at 3500 still going but no power at all after 3500 rpm

Your O2 sensor (s) might be controlling the fuel and spark in a funny way.
Air filter
vacuum integrity
coils
batt or alternator underperforming

Basically, air, fuel, and spark systems should be checked out. And, the O2 sensors control that stuff too.
