Hi guys so i just purchased my 99 crew cab lariat model 4x4, fixed the overhead console issue(wasnt working when i got it) and the power windows were not working as well, i have tested the switch it works, power is going in and coming out, but neither of the mirrors even sound like they are trying any help would be greatly appreciated.
If the fuses and all are good and power is at the switch it sounds like the wire that runs to the motor that makes it move is broken or not attached. Im not sure what the inside of one of the mirrors looks like so i dont know how to tell you to check. There is also the possibility that the mirrors on the truck are non electric and you have to hand adjust them..just a thought.
Others will probably be of more help
joe they most definately are power mirrors they click when i move them manually, the p.o said they stopped working the same time the overhead display went out(find it hard to believe but could be a coincidence)
I just bought a 99 PSD Lariat 4x4 SC last week and have already had the power windows go out (I tried replacing the 30A circuit breaker), the overhead console hasn't worked for me yet, and the passenger power mirror os not working, but can be clicked into place. Now, my dome, and map lights won't work........i'm curious about the fix for this as well.
I pulled the power window relay and cleaned out the contacts, along with replacing the fuse for a new fuse and now the windows work. I found a blown fuse that handles both the overhead dome/map lights AND the power mirrors, so they now work also......i'm making progress.
