Sorta OT about 2 cycle oil
Hey all,
I figured someone here would know this. What's the difference between 2 cycle oil for air cooled engines, and 2 cycle oil that doesn't say "air cooled?" What does one have over the other? Why can't I run the same oil in say my leaf blower as in my 2 stroke outboard?
Been wondering.

i know the outboard 2 stroke is "ashless" thats what I use in my truck

good question, dont have an answer either. i really liked cci from suzuki in my mx bikes, i had run bell ray and golden spectro before. i know the weed eater really liked the left over race gas from the mx bike.

most modern outboards use oil injection systems the oil is a bit different from mixing oil,think it has more lubricity for higher combustion temperatures
