what a day yesterday, a quick trip to phoenix to get an engine kit and pick up a crankshaft that was turned. simple enough. I get there and the crank isn't cut, I took them the crank in March! when I dropped it off they asked if I was in a big hurry because they liked to cut like cranks at the same time to save changing the machine. I said no problem. a few weeks later I called to ask about the crank and they had no idea about it! it was lost. a few weeks later they found it. last week I called to see if it was done they said yes it had been done for a long time and they had called me and left a message. so I get there to pick it up and it still isn't cut!
on the way to Phoenix, I get called to work on a swather, so I detour through Buckeye in hopes they would have the parts I need in stock. no luck the parts I need are in Canada. drive up to where the swather is take the broken parts off to bring home and weld back together, on the way home there is a car on the side of the road so I stop, he had broken a timing belt. talked a few minutes, he had a tow truck coming but his mechanic couldn't get to it until next week so he had it towed to my shop. get home switch trucks take my daughter to 4H horse riding a detour for her on the way home finally home at 10:00 pm ending an 18 hour day after driving almost 400 miles.
wow that must have been a long one Bart! You sound like you need a weekend!
are you crazy? weekends are when it is hectic. this weekend we are cutting wood and fishing. I plan on filling the 20' dump trailer, my fathers 5 yard dump truck and my 20' goose neck this Saturday. next weekend we are planning on driving to Colorado for 400 bales of hay

Hi Bill. Bart glad your only working 18 hours a day. That at least leaves 6 hours to eat & sleep.
Good evening everyone. We just got back from a great 6 days in Southern Nevada & Arizona.

Geeeezzzus Bart, let me know what shop that is that dorking you around! I finally found a machine shop around here in Phx that will custom cut drive lines (need one for my 4-wheel drive swap), and if its the same shop i have been talking to I guess I will be sending mine out of state! LOL!

Speaking of such, I am feeing you on the ol' headaches! I had to come to terms with the fact I am keeping a couple of my performance colts this year (instead of selling like I planned) but now I have to let someone go.. I hate that part! LOL! Well, been trying to sell one of my real nice little mares around here. She isnt one of my performance stock, so I dont have her priced real high.. but OMG, the people I am dealing with! I want to ring some necks! And whats with everyone wanting a free horse around here? Really? LOL!
