Body Swap Electrical Help
I spent the whole day trying to get the damn truck running. Keep in mind I have had the truck running in many different stages of my restoration. I had the engine running on the engine stand, on the bare chassis, as well as with the donor cab. But for some reason I couldnt get any spark, cranked great but no spark! Then as expected, the starter soleniod fails. Swap that out! Then the reman AutoZone starter locks up, afterall I havent started the truck in over a year. So I run that back to AutoZone for the lifetime warranty. Install new starter, still wont crank! Load check the battery, yup... battery is dead! Steal battery from 1986 5.0 Ranger Pickup, now it cranks great, but no spark!
At this point im about to freak out, so I take a step back and think about what I have done electrically since the last time I started the truck. I installed the steering column, put the dash back together, installed the neutral safety switch on the C6. Hmmm neutral safety switch... So I chase the harness for the neutral saftey switch up to the main harness coming from the dash, and find that I unplugged one harness to install the neutral safety switch from the 4X4 chassis. I deceide to disconnect the 4X4 neutral saftey switch from the body harness and reconnect the plugs I previously unplugged.
VVVVVRROOOOOOMMMMMMM goes the open headers!!!!! And my neighbors heart rates!!!

what gives, Does the 2wd chassis have the neutral safety switch on the column? Of is the plug on the 2wd C6 neutral safety switch different?

the plug on the left is the 4X4 neutral safety switch plug. The two gray plugs on the above are the plugs I reset to the original configuration.
On a side note...
what is the relay looking box mounted to the firewall with the three wire plug(cant see the plug in the picture) in the back of the picture? One of the terminals is broken off, so im not sure what it does.
Well It would be the same manual either way. I figured that someone had done a body swap and ran into an issue like mine.
But I guess not!
