OUCH! I hope she's doing okay. If she's hurting, get her to the Doc. What was she driving?

Her Lincoln MKX, young girl hit her dead center in the rear. See post #633

On the surface, Helen's car shows the plastic surround was messed up, as well as the license plate, but other than that no visible damage can be seen. Probably $3,000 in damages, lol

BUT, the Nissan was a mess. Hood, front bumper, grille, and air bag all needs replacing.

Morning everyone.

George, as Steve suggested, make the appointment for her and take her to it. You never know what may have happened and hopefully it is just the soreness from being rear ended. I know that when we respond to any accident calls, we strongly suggest to the people that they go to the hospital to get checked out.....just to be safe even if they think that they are fine.

Good. Never can be too careful. She may have hurt something that may come back to haunt her later.

If you get a chance, George, post up a pic of the MKX.

I will get a pic tonight. Helen is taking it to the body shop to get an estimate for repairs.

Actually to look at it, it doesn't look that bad.

I was totally impressed that the rear bumper absorbed the impact quite well. The bumper wasn't caved in or anything. Just knocked the rear sensors near the impact out of whack.

Rear tailgate opens and closes as normal. No body side fender buckles.

Estimate to repair approx $1,100 to the MKX

From the sounds of it, the MKX weathered the hit pretty well.

It did considering the airbag deployed on the Nissan which must have been going 25mph or more for it to do that.
