I know that I would be SOL....lol. I have been on a few all night fire calls and I know that I am in trouble when I see the sun rising. We had one a few years ago that was in another district and we got called in around 11 at night. We saw the sun rising when we got released and I took the day off from work. I was so wiped out, I slept right through my pager going off and the trucks going by my house for a call just up the road from here.

 

I think that most of the 'male' population is very well experienced with being SOL

I know several years ago, I went to bed 15 minutes before & there was a multi alarm fire a block from me and I never knew it happened till the next morning.

Neil my brother missed a call like that once. it was literally down the street from my house. they razzed him for a few days for that one.
