25 @ WOT is great, it is extremely unlikely that you'll go much over about 26 to 28. I've read the max with the stock turbo is 28, I get 23-24 but I have a E99. I don't see much over about 16 to 18 while pulling a load up a hill because I don't push it real hard and most the hills I go up are not straight so I have a tendancy to slow down a bit but you should be doing the same when pulling a hill unless you put the hammer down then you should see 20 to 25 psi and that is fine. If I remember correctly it's when you hit 35+ psi you need new head studs to handle the pressure, so bottom line you'll be fine.
Ok, now the truck is making up to 16 PSI boost with the TM adjusted around the starting point. Much better. Haven't adjusted the boost up from this point yet. However, it looks like with a little more adjusting it will be right where I was thinking the boost level should be.
On another note...and probably most suitable for another thread but since I am already typing here...I changed my oil today with 3,700 miles on it. I don't drive the truck much during the winter so it took 7 months to get that many miles racked up. I noticed some very fine yellow or copper colored specs in the oil when pouring the old oil into containers for the recycler. My heart skipped a beat or two. After taking some heart medication, I decided to take in some of the oil for analysis tomorrow at a local business called NC Power Systems in the Seattle area. I sure hope I won't be joining Dan's 7.3 R&R club anytime soon. No offense Dan
At any rate, their lab has a 48 hour turn around time so I will have an analysis report soon.
