Could you tell us how fast you were going to get the 18?
I go about 65mph on the highway which is between 1500 and 1750 rpm I believe. Now I'm going off of the truck what it reads. I filled up off of a hwy and reset everything and I went about 100 miles before getting off the hwy and it said I was getting 18.4 mpg going 65 mph. If that was true or not I don't know but going 100 miles the needle barely got off the F.
I'm not concerned about federal bull crap its my main farm truck so I'll probably do the dpf delete and chip it.
Don't forget voiding the warranty. There are some awful expensive things that can go wrong with these trucks. Now if you have the right relationship with the dealer.....

I do have a good relationship with the dealer and If something goes wrong with it I'll sell the motor, put a 12 valve in it and keep it forever lol
I have a 2010 F-250 CC SB 4x4 lariat with 3.55's on the 20's and filled up today with 507.6 miles on the tripometer and i put in 29.9453 gallons. That works out to 16.9509 miles per gallon.
I've got 10000 miles on the truck and did no towing on this tank. Broke it down to 30% city 40% hwy @ 55mph and 30% hwy @ 67-68mph.
I think the tavel %'s are very close and the tank is filled til i see fuel in the filler neck everytime. I'm happy with the results, my wifes old Envoy didn't do much better than my truck.
