Lately my heat doesn't work worth a crap. Even on 90 degrees it blows out cool with little warmth. The truck runs at normal temp and the heater core doesn't leak. Is the divider door in the Hvac box all vacuum controlled or what??
Could be a broken blend door. Not sure on the front, but the rear blend doors are electrically controlled. The front has a tendancy to break the axle on the door itself as opposed to the rear which strips the gear on the actuator motor.
Ok, when it first started messing up it would be hot as hell then it slowly went to crap until now no heat comes out of the front. I don't think the rear works either.

You might have an air pocket in the system and need to bleed it. Is your cooling system full?
Yup, its full and i have never had to fill it up. I think the wife might have had to add some this last year while I was gone to Iraq though.......Is there a special way to have to burp the system with the dual climate setup? I haven't really done a whole lot of work yet on the modular motors let alone the expedition. It has been pretty problem free for the 3 years I have owned it. I guess tomorrow I could go out and start removing a few things to check out under the dash. Even though its 95+ here now I would rather have it working now and not need it than it not work and need it this winter.
Glad you're back from the sand pit.
Before you start ripping stuff apart I suggest that you check your heater controls, especially if an after market sound system was installed. If a system was installed you may have a loose or damaged vacuum line at the heater/ac controls. As for burping the cooling systen, it is pretty involved and I suggest that you get a service manual off of eBay or elsewhere. An OEM manual is the best.
I do have a haynes manual and no system is installed. I haven't touched a thing other than the radar and K&N filter. Its the family truck.
There should be proper instructions in the Haynes manual, if not send me an email address via PM and I'll send the instructions from my Ford service manual.
