I have noticed gradually over the past 3 months my truck has not wanted to start unless its plugged in, yes even in the 95+ heat. I replaced all the glow plugs, and uvc harnesses, it tries much harder but still needs plugged in for about 15-20 minutes, any ideas? Both batteries are good, had tested, terminals have good connections. glow plug relay? bad injector(s)?? Thanks
I did not notice any smoke, but I will check later this morning. My problem does not really match the other thread. My truck will start fine if plugged in for 15-20 minutes, but won't start if its not even in the 95+ heat.
I had a starter slowly die on me so slow that I didn't notice it . It kept taking longer and longer to start till I finally realized the engine was turning over too slow. I pulled the starter and had it tested it was found to be bad ,replaced it and life was good again....
I have never changed the IPR, Is there anyway to test it? Thanks
Not really without a scanner. You could get the kit from diesel o-rings and take it apart and clean it up to see if that helps, but there's no guarantee that is your problem.
