Problem reinstalling DPTuner F5

I finally got my truck smogged and got my registration. Now to put the mods back. I'm almost done, except that I'm having a problem with my F5. The switch does not light up. I checked DPTuners website and followed their directions, but still nothing. The truck started, but no throttle response. I tried to call, but Jody and Diane are off today. Anybody have any ideas?

Make sure that your cable is plugged in correctly to the switcher.

Yes, Huck is right on this. If the cable is upside down it will not work. You did have the Key out?

Key was out, Cable was in correct position. Clay just called. He said it sounds like the chip is making intermittent contact. So I will pull it out again and clean the contacts.
The chip had been sitting on a shelf for 2 months. Can they lose their memory?
