'71 running and driving Trans problems
Well we have the '71 running finally!!! 302 w/ AOD , truck came with 2 drive shafts, one steel one aluminum , the aluminum fit maybe an inch short but I found u joints to match up and all fit OK. Brakes complete, still need some bleeding off but good.
Problem is the trans, it whines terrible and will not shift up we can get it in to second sometimes but not usually. I have tried adjusting the Lokar cable but do not know how tight I need to go , I have went some what tight with no change in symptoms.
Any Help?????????

You know I never even Thought of the Vacuum Modulator, Do the AOD have one? I never looked on that side... I will crawl under and look.
