Hello I have a question about spark plug wires. I have a 79 F250 with the 300 straight 6 in it. The previous owner put in an aftermarket DUI distributor made by davis unified ignition. Here is a link to the website. http://www.performancedistributors.com/fordssdui.htm
I am planning on replacing the spark plugs and wires soon and would like to know more about what wires to use. The ones that are on there now are Live Wires which are made by the same company as the distributor. These seem pricy to me at a cost of about $90.
Do i have to use these wries or could I use the type you would buy from an auto parts store.
I have never had a truck with an aftermarket distributor so I dont have much knowledge about them.
