I'm sure you guys have noticed for a bit now me buzzing around the forum lusting for one of these monsters.... Well yesterday I finally pulled the trigger on it! I have to wait till Monday to pick it up, but it's mine none-the-less.
I have gone to see many excursions, and many have let me down for various reasons. When we got to this one, it almost felt like Ford had built it just for me, then someone else used it for 90k miles, then came back to me I dont have any pics that I took of it yet, but I'll share the autotrader link.
Gotta tell ya, truck was in damn near mint condition. Of all the Ex's I went to see, this was the best, and my god, have I gone to see Ex's...... *tear*
Congrats! Nice truck! First thing you should do is get it all tuned up with all fresh fluids (oil, tranny, differential, brake,PS, coolant, etc.). New tires/shocks, brake pads/rotors and ball joints if needed. After that, an alignment. All these things would not change the appearance of your Ex, but they are necessities to keep it running good. Also change the plugs/boots. Check the serpentine belt and air filter. What else did I miss? Sorry to rain on your parade, but doing these things will pay you back with years of enjoyment and not to mention safety of the vehicle.
That's the great thing about this deal/dealership I'm dealing with!
They have already changed out all the fluids, new tires, new tie rods, ball joints are reported to be 100%, air filter, etc.... Plugs weren't done yet, but I'll make sure to make time for it.
