how hard is it to sound proof a single cab 92 f150? the material isnt very expensive and it seems like something that would be a good upgrade for me. is it as simple as pulling up the carpet and taking off the door panels? does the material get glued down? any tips? -thanks
well lmc has a kit for the floor. i also saw a few kits on rockauto.com. the lmc kit is called an "eva sound deadener kit". lmc also has a a sound control mat that they sell in sheets to do the spots that the floor kit doesnt cover.
Very easy to do. Depending on what you want to be sound deadened..
Pull the seats, carpet, door panels, and headliner. Then simply pull the backing off the sound deadener and stick it on the bare metal and with a roller roll it down good.
Lots of brands to choose from and everyone has their own opinion on who makes the best.
I would go with RAAMmat for the price or second skin if you dont have a tight budget.
thanks alot for all the replies so far! i think im gonna buy a pre cut kit from rockauto.com. is the factory carpet glued down? or i can just easily pull it up?
also- my exhaust isnt too loud lol. i just like the idea of having a very quiet truck while driving.

Let us know how it goes. Id like to know if the difference is worth the $$$. I think alot of wind noise comes from the door seals. I think I might try new rubber seals for the doors then sound deaden the whole cab.
cement naa im runnin in to the same old ford noise problem leaky gaskets vent windows loud exhaust and the aerodynamics of a brick but man at least its a sexxy brick
