I'll let u know when im done. But it should significantly reduce road noise. Don't care about blocking engine noise. I think its vital to know what noises are coming from the engine bay. Pinging, knocking, squealing, grinding and etc.
I'm using small scraps from work. They throw em away i re purpose them. But when I get her done im getting a box of it before I throw in the carpet and my seats. I'm also going to pull the glass out the doors mask them important areas that do not need any bedliner interfering with anything. Oh btw excuse the mess in the cab. It's 9 sheets to a box at roughly $20 a sheet.
Actually you can buy rolls on ebay and it will cost a lot less. Look under sound deadener and the stuff from Texas tends to be the best deal. I have done 6 vehicles with it so far and it makes a difference. I did not do the roof though. I used sound deadening foam instead.
I bought a dozen sheets of 4X8 foam/aluminized genset insulation for $5/sheet at a local swap meet years ago... still have enough left to do one more project.
