Thank you Captain Obvious and your trusty female sidekick. Really not where I was trying to take this thread, but what can you do. For those that responded intelligently to answer my post and give their input on the subject at hand....I thank you. To you other douche bags.....get a life!

So you get called out for disobeying the law, endagering others, and they're douche bags?
What a tool. I bet your parents are so proud!
I can only hope you kill yourself before you reproduce. We have enough morons already.
I'm so sure all of you keep it 100% within all speed limits.....yeah right! You just got added to the douche bag list as well. Remember....it doesn't matter if a hooker gets paid $1 or $1000.....she's still a hooker. Same goes with speeding. Make sure you're not 1 over.....lol.

"Physics...it's the law."
A Corvette going 5 over the speed limit vs a your truck (or a school bus) going 40-50 over is not quite the same thing, my friend. The points systems in every state I know of grades points as well, and a drag racing ticket for 50 over is reckless driving (= a license suspension) in Michigan. 5 over is a slap on the wrist. For good reason.
Good luck avoiding the Darwin awards. Take it to the dragstrip at least. If you want to play NASCAR truck, make sure you have a full roll cage and 5-point harness, HANS device, etc. (Those NASCAR sissies are forced to have safety equipment...imagine that.) And run it on a sanctioned oval with proper insurance, spectator protection, etc.

You're actually comparing 70-75 MPH to 100 MPH?
Confirms you never studied physics.
kinetic energy = 1/2 x M x V x V (sorry, but no superscript text for squared)
So tell me genius, what is your stopping distance at 100 MPH?
Never mind. Even if you could find an answer (I know you're too stupid to calculate it), you're still a tool and boring the hell out of me.
In closing, I sincerely hope you and your BIL find the same concrete divider/bridge at 125 MPH (guaranteed death). Imagine the joy you will bring to the WHOLE family!
Nice of you to skew the numbers and make it sound like I'm doing much worse than it is. Not that I have to explain myself, but to dumb it down for you guys who are concerned, the highways in FL where I have attempted max speeds are all marked at 70 mph speed limit. So your assummed 40 - 50 mph over is merely only 20 - 25 over since my max speed is 95. Thanks for doubling it though to prove your point.
Most people on these roads (or I should say a lot of them that I've noticed since I don't have numbers to back it up) are doing more like 10 over so that's 80. So now to put it in perspective, I'm only doing 10 - 15 over the norm when I have tested max speed. Doesn't sound so bad now does it?
Now take your unsolicited feedback and go be a clown somewhere else!!!
What? I'm only a sidekick? Gee, that really hurts.
So others disregarding the law makes it right for you to disregard it even more? Btw, are you familiar with the concept of anarchy and the dangers it presents to society? (That last question was retorical since you have made it obvious you do not care.)
Shouldn't you be at an early-bird-special right about now with your Captain? Get a life......OH....don't look now!!! Jeopardy is on next!!! What am I talkin' about....you prolly have that set to record on your dvr....lol.
Getting off topic here guys. Just to shut up the kook with the mustang (not sure why they're even on this thread to begin with)....I've lowered the trucks suspension and have 22's with higher performance tires with the intention of making it get up and go. Already have a cold air intake......in the market for dual exhaust and also planning on putting on a supercharger eventually which along with some other mods will eat up 80 - 90% of all mustangs on the road (If not more).
I've always been a truck guy and will eventually buy a sports car as a weekend driver for kicks. However, it won't be anything a mustang will be able to even be in the same discussion with. That's a whole other talk show!
a few things here
1. This is my old truck. Note the higher than stock height...and the supercharger. that is why I surf this area of FTE. If you look at my signature picture/list, you can see my current Expy...the other reason I am on FTE
2. I am pretty well versed in what the 2004-2008 F-150 can do in terms of performance. Been there done that. With a hell of alot more power than you currently have
Once you break 90+ mph you are running into several factors that make these speeds a dangerous proposition
3. You are running 22's with performance tires...are you serious?
are they even "H" speed rated? ZR rated?
combine your oversize and heavy rims with the extremely low profile tire and you are asking for an accident. not to mention the tires themselves may seperate at speed.
With those huge rims you are seriously hurting your braking ability. all of that rotational mass is harder to slow down. so take your original braking distance and add another 30-40 feet...easily if not more
sorry I went all postal on you. but you clearly have no idea what you are doing...and you are doing it on the street. by your reactions to other posts, I'm guessing you are in the 18-25 age range. It shows. Most people grow out of that stage. Which is why we have such high insurance premiums until then.
keep it safe. next time you feel so inclinded to act stupid I hope you get caught by a Police Officer. I have a vehicle that is capable of 150+ MPH safely and I've never been above 80-90 mph in it. There just is no need for it. I'll save that bull-**** for the track.
you only get 1 life. try not to ruin or end someone elses early because you are too dumb to realize your actions affect others

Oh man....that's the best laugh I've had all night. Thank you.
Trust me, as a guy who's owned both. You don't stand a chance against any Mustang with a V8 under the hood. You need a major reality check if you think your F150 is going to hang with any Mustang with an engine bigger than a V6. And you'd better pray that that V6 ain't a 2011 with the Ti VCT 305hp 3.7L.
Oh man....that's the best laugh I've had all night. Thank you
actually...I hate to give the guy any credit...but he is kinda right in a few cases.
at 20-30 MPH, nail the hammer and the motor will really roar and giddy up. 1st night I had the blower I power slid across the highway when I kicked her down on the entrance ramp to merge. a blown 5.4 has got *****...a Stang will eat it alive at the top end, and from a dig, but rolling...wow. These trucks can really scoot from about 20-60 mph if they have traction

So you're one of the rebels without a clue that thinks it's ok to do 20 over the speed limit. In florida 90 in a 70 gets you the "high cost ticket" along with the 5 points on your license. And a driving to endanger and reckless driving tickets. Plus 20 over allows the stopping officer to arrest you. So tell us, do you normally do 55 in a 35 thru residential neighborhoods? Do you think it's ok to do 35 in 15 mph school zone. Is it ok to do 86 in 65 mph construnction zone?
Let's just hope you don't lose control of that 6000 lbs truck and KILL some family going on vacation to Disney.
These trucks can really scoot from about 20-60 mph if they have traction
Therein lies the problem though. I don't doubt that with 500lbs/ft on tap a blown F150 is going to have tire shredding torque to spare, but with most of that weight being in the nose and its overall mass being tremendous (in comparison to the Mustang), it’s going to be next to impossible to plant it in a 2WD model. Hence the poor 0-60 and high-14-second quarter mile times of the last Roush Stage 3 F150.
My last '87 5.0 LX was no huge horsepower maker and could be considered your average bolt on car. It made nowhere near that kind of torque or horsepower, but would have easily dominated a 5,500-6,000lb F150 at the strip...blown or not.
I agree....the first 60-80ft could be close, but as soon as that Mustang hits the sweet spot in the power band at the top of 2nd gear, it’s all over but the crying by the shift into 3rd IMO.
