Hey Ringo I think I know you! Seriously I won't be back over there. I have had my fill of the bs for the last ten years there. I wish them well though. As far as the politics goes I really could care less. All I am going to say on that is My father in law was of the side they hate, as was my dad. My fil was a WWII vet of midway and my dad was a vet of the Korean era also. I will not sit by and let them say the crap they did without defending others like my dad and FIL who fought for my country. As far as this site goes I wish I had joined and quit the other a long time ago. It has a lot more resources and info. There are also members here that are close by as well. One is even in the town where I live. As far as the wood goes I have had members interested in the pulls. I guess I will have to start making them. Anyway I have way to many sites to look at, even if I would go back I think I would cull it out of my list. I have too much to do and other groups I like to go to. So for truck sites this is it for me.

***** and Obsa nice to see ya boyz, I doubt if there'll be much political discussion over here to get things smokin'. ***** you need to to a how-to on wood door handles!!
Jus kiddin' bud.

Like ND and Crusty John and many others, I am a member on both sites. I have been to every Slickstock and can honestly say I never met a bad apple, in real life, in the bunch that loves these trucks. I hope Banjo comes back to help out here, but if not, oh well. There's always that other place. And vice versa.
Crusty John Sez, You John & Dave visit both sites regularly. You all don't post here for a while, then you pop in again. John is gone (reportably) and you say Dave is or soon will be missing, both will be back after they tire of the Slick site again. So what's your point????

That is very well put about how it is over there. It was a good place to go during the day to get a break but not anymore. Thats why I left that place and came here. Over here you can chit chat so to speak and not walk on eggshells as to offend anyone. I have had my truck finished for a few years now. But to me this place and others is like going over to a buddys garage on a weekend afternoon to just BS. I have far too much I have to do and take care of and this site gives me a break if only for a few minutes. but it is well worth it. As far as I am concerned those who can go along with it over there, fine. But for folks who got tired of it we can stay over here if we like it. And if ou can go to both ,great , enjoy both of them. I get more enjoyment out of the state group here I am in than I did over there for the last few years. I just got tired of it and saw no reason to put up with it so I left.

It was always HERE where you had to walk on eggshells and not mention (psst that Other site) for fear ken payne would be all over you like white on rice because he had a bad day, and his dog peed on his tire.. Kinda funny how times change, innit?
Now whenever Ken is in a bad mood he just takes off all his clothes and rolls in the money this place paid him. Cheers him up right away.

I can't speak for *****, but no politics will be fine for me! The one glaring fault on the other site IMHO is they say NO politics, but some are/were quick to site the latest BS of the day from the blah blah blah network extremists! But if I asked for sources or posted a link with an opposing view all of the sudden I was the villian. for bringing politics to the board. My view on this is if you want to post drivel you should MAN UP an be prepared to defend what you post.

As I stated before there are a bunch of great gals and guys over there, but at this point I no longer posting there. I still visit the site to read the posts and look at the pics. I have noticed that for the time being there have been sticking to their stated policy.

Hopefully I am not violating policy over here. If so moderaters please feel free to edit or delete this posting/

Obsa being a Canuck it was always interesting to observe that stuff from a distance. I wasn't too inclined to join in for fear there'd be the standard flurry of standard Fox channel "Lets invade Canada" rhetoric. Of course last time that happened, the Whitehouse ended up burnt down but that's for another place. Glad you are happy here. With Garbz and ***** you got some good company.

The last time it happened was in 1859, long after the War of 1812 was over. In that year, the US and Great Britain almost went to war over the death of a pig!

Eventually we shall hold Britain to the North Atlantic Treaty of 1916 which sold Canada to the US for 5 billion and some lend lease...

LOL. Then you'd have 34 million rebels on your hands. Ever wonder why they can smuggle BC bud at will across the worlds longest undefended border, but NO ONE stays?

Because, besides a bunch of Hollywood actors, no one wants to!! There ain't no flood of Icers into the US!! You can Keep Pam Anderson, she's mostly a product of the Dow Chemical company , anyway. And Bonus keep Celine Dion as our free gift to you. No obligation!!

Of course, in a weird twist of Fate..you guys DO have Mercurys... but not for LONG!!

seriously!

Can the moderators kill this thread already. I come to this sight to research and talk about our trucks. Not to have some higher than thou guy preach at us about our language. unless his kids are not allowed out of the house they are going to learn way worse language from other kids. It is obvious to me that this man just needed some attention. so lets kill this thread and get back to the trucks please.
